Welcome to Cosmic Universe — home of fanfiction by Cosmic, written between 2002 and 2023.

This site began life in 2002 as a hand-coded fansite, back when fan sites were stitched together in Notepad and every visitor counter was a small badge of honor. It survived framesets, PHP experiments, several redesigns and hosting moves — and now lives on in this restored form: every story preserved, every page readable on any screen, twenty-plus years later.

The stories span ten fandoms: Harry Potter, NCIS, House MD, How I Met Your Mother, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, H2O: Just Add Water, Lois & Clark, Loki, and Charlie’s Angels — from 200-word drabbles to full novels of over 100 000 words. Along the way, readers turned some of them into podfics and translated others into French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese, and Poisons That Open Your Eyes won three Kerth Awards in 2021, including Best New Author.

All fanfiction here is a labor of love. No money is made and no copyright infringement is intended; all characters belong to their respective creators and rights holders.

Where I write now

The writer behind Cosmic grew up and went pro. These days I write and publish original fiction as Camilla Vavruch — novels with the same love of found family, slow-burn romance and hurt/comfort that fills the stories on this site, just with characters of my own.
